and 2009 is nearing its end; lemme try, recall and reflect on this past year.

looking back on the months gone by, as a new year starts and an old one ends, i've contemplated what brought me joy, and i immediately thought of my loved ones and my friends. recalling all the happy times, remembering how they've enriched my life, i reflect upon whom really counts, as the fresh and bright new year arrives. and when i ponder those who do, i immediately think of you.

here's to the outgoing year: 2009; may the good times live on in our memories, and may we all learn lessons from the troubling times that will make us stronger and better than ever. here's to 2010: for each and everyone of you, may it be filled with the significant steps towards the fulfillment of your fondest wishes.

03/09 BMT (PTP/Leadership) Taurus Platoon 2: brothers in arms; comrades for life. its been a memorable 3 months and i owe it to them who made it the 3 months of my life the most unforgettable, meaningful and monumental. especially to my beloved section mates, takecares, keep in touch and all the best in your future postings.

once in awhile, revisitting the past isn't as damaging, it just goes to show how far you've come, the many changes that has taken place. looking back at those memories, be it sweet or sour, they make you who you are today; stronger and wiser. approximately 6 years ago, i was in love, very much in love. but 3 years later from that day, my fairytale ended. i guess it's just a matter of time before it happens. though we may lead our own lives now, i'm glad that we still keep the friendship; and for that i'm happy for you, really i am.

so to whoever's reading this, be it you're in or outta love, appreciate the fact that atleast you have experience love than never to have experience it at all.

i am so done with geylang already. been there too many countless times, and yesterday was the final and last time, well unless if i have a valid reason to be there again that is. the crowd, and the heat is as unforgiving every year. but no doubt the atmosphere was slightly better compared to when i last went the previous week. looking forward to iftar with ules the following week.

this is gonna sound random, and i mean bloody random; when we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving much advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a gentle and tender hand. the person who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.

and to teachers everywhere, happy teachers' day (in advance that is).

and yes, the fasting month of ramadhan is here. i just hope that i'm able to cope with training back in camp. but i'm glad that its not for long, cuz my passing out parade's coming up. where will i be posted to; that i'm not sure at all. anyways, it was the 1st day of fasting and i've already gotten myself a pair of baju kurung; green is the colour this year; like as if i've not seen enuogh green in camp. lol (:

G.I. JOE: Rise of the Cobra
totally cool and awesome. if you like Transformers, you'll sure to like G.I Joe as well. yes, there is a lot of action in this movie and yes special effects too, they are by no means perfect, and yes, the film does have a sort-of artificial look from time to time, but it's nothing serious. do watch our for the accelerator suits; coolness!

I can say I was a Joe virgin before watching the movie; I knew nothing about the characters, the plot or the role of the "Cobra" organization in the series' mythos, but after watching the film, I am now more interested in everything related to it. needless to say, the movie does a really good job at presenting the characters and the plot to newbies. with its comprehensible action, cool special effects, effective performances and mildly-interesting plot, G.I. Joe is one of the better big-budget action extravaganzas in what Transformers 2 should have been but sadly wasn't.

it’s not easy for everyone to make friends. once you have friends, it takes dedication and work on both parts to keep the friendship going. true friends are hard to find, and lifelong friends can be a rare gem. in order to maintain a good friendship, you will have to take time to nurture and develop your friendship. in order to have a good friend, you have to be a good friend and as soon as you realize that, your friendships will greatly improve! in times of need, friends are there, but of course, you need to help your friends for them to help you; maintain an open and honest communication to prevent confusion or unneccessary doubts to ensue. i'm blessed to have such uber awesome friends, i may meet them every single free time i have and not be bored of them. we were there for each other through good times and bad. we celebrate each other's successes, and help each other get through failures. we give each other room to grow, and give the friendship room to grow and mature (:

my national day was spent fruitfully with my usual ULEs, though we may not be there at the floating platform, but i sure did feel the patriotism; if there's even sucha word. crash over at aishazy's to catch the parade and we did dilligently participate in the pledge moment ok. singin along to the songs and watch the parade as it moves from segments to segments and eventually the fireworks finale.

alrights since I have time to spare, I guess I'll do this blog some justice by giving it a quick update. as some of you know, I'm serving the nation. not to worry, I'm doing ok, I'd be lying to say if the training ain't tough, but hey this is the military, what do you expect right. things are going ok thus far, I just can't wait for it to progress to command school and have a meaningful and memorable national service life till the end. I'm glad to have new found comrades such as my bunkmates whom are uber awesome and my platoon as well as commanders though strict but motivating and very encouraging as well.

anyways days before enlistment was well spent as mention in my last entry;

these people are my life support I tell you, it was never a dull moment with all of 'em.

and who would have thought that I'm already having outings with my bunkmates, they're cool people. our very first book out to beach road to get some army quitessentials and the following week or so was to a midnight movie, and who who have thought a row of botak boys in the the cinema watching Ice Age 3; Dawn of the Dinosaurs in 3D some more, coolness. and the following day caught Transformers; Revenge of the Fallen with my dear cousins.

nothing much to update though, just that sometimes I feel like I wanna do so many things in such a short period of time everytime I book out. for those interested to see me in uniform or my new hair-do, do check 'em out in my facebook.

this is my last entry before this blog goes dusty, reason; cuz i'll be away serving the nation, so it might take awhile for the next update. and i won't be surprise if i'll do away with blogging but nothing's for certain yet. same goes for facebook too.

many thanks to those that has kept me company for the last few days eversince i'm back from my short gateway. especially, aisha, naz, yannah, asri, ajan, heyr and firah, not forgetting fairuz and ridhwan too. i appreciate all the times we had and for that i cheers to more good times to come. now that my ultimate limited editions have met with the random4, more new friendships are forged and the close bonds already established are brought closer. to those that has been telling me to takecare of myself and think positive, be it through calls, texts or even facebook, i thank you all. don't worry, rest assured, i'll be fine.

the very much needed gateway before i serve the nation, it was more sightseeing-touristy as compared to typical shopping nonetheless i enjoyed it alot. my days are numbered but i'm gradually embracing it, next few days are gonna be spent with those that matter to me or with those that think i matter to them.

ok the following is something that i just wanted to rant out, read it with an open mind and open heart. firstly i wanna apologise for what wrong doings that i do be it accidentally or on purpose to you.

who am i to you right now? am i still what you claim i always be, someone whom you wanted to takecare of, someone whom you always feel like ur kinder surprise, cuz believe me you, i tried my best to make you happy, look at it beyond all the things i gave you from flowers to cards, and occasional poof session, and all with the most purest sincerity from the deepest bottom of my heart. initially i find it hard to just lay low and keep it cool, but at times i can't and i have to express how much i've missed you. but this time, i garner enough courage to play along and tell myself to wait for the day you text me, call me or even ask me out. i'm not being petty or making it a big deal, but i'm always the one initiating and you may say that you're not good at it, i can't buy that excuse anymore cuz fact is, are you even trying? nevertheless i appreciate the occasional texts from you.

and i've been waiting and waiting, to the point that i realise i couldn't expect that much from you. and i'm deeply sorry for expecting that much from you. this is where i get angry with myself. but if i can tell someone that as friends, doesn't mean that i don't text you, i forget about you, but you're always remembered, i guess i'm applying it to you. friends don't text friends on an everyday basis unless there's a reason to it or as means of catching up with each other. so i'm seeing as that way, but trust me, it's never easy, its tough, but what else can i do. all i can say is that i'm glad that you're spending more time with your other half and i know no matter how much you used to tell me that you want to end it, deep down inside you still love him. i keep asking myself have i been hard on you? have i ever ignored you till you have to just keep quiet like this. but i know i've give in to you, even when you did something terribly wrong and give me every reason to just leave you astray, but i'm still here, which proves how much you mean to me and how much i can't bear to let everything go. but now that i'm going ns, i guess it saves you the agony of my departure that you're adpating to it already.

it's been my downfall to get too emotionally attached and involved. i appreciate your kind gesture of wanting to see me off, that i will get back to you on that. i wish you all the best in everything that you do, congratulations again on your recent job posting. do takecare of yourself and we'll keep in touch, definitely keep in touch.

MOMENTUM: REPUBLIC POLYTECHNIC'S DANCE FESTIVAL '09

Momentum '09 was a sold-out full house event featuring 16 new choreographies; however Momentum '08 was more 'orgasmic' and that i'm sure aisha will agree. fyi; asri was performing as usual, so yah, caught him dancing, infact like i always do anyways. this year's stellar line-up featured Ngee Ann Polytechnic's NRA, Evergreen Secondary School, Dance Spectrum International, Deyi Secondary School, SMU Caderas Latinas, NUS Dance Ensemble, Bowen Secondary School, SAJC, ITE College East (Simei), Teck Whye Secondary School and of course RP's very own resident dance groups; RP Malay Cultural Group, RP Indian Cultural Group, RP Hip-Hop Dance Group, RP Social Dance Group and RP Modern Dance Group.

but nonetheless, it was well worth (: many thanks to all who made it happen and for an awesome show, till next year's Momentum, or maybe this year's Muse under Reflections: RP's annual arts fest.

with the passing of recent events; i hope that those affected by it, will forge ahead and emerge stronger. what's done cannot be undone and i hope that you people will not look back in anger, cuz' it's pointless. i'm kinda speechless, needless to say, but no doubt; my apologies if i wasn't of much help, but believe me you, that i tried to listen attentively, offer opinions and advice and be there for you; it's the least i could do. but please do not hesitate to talk to me about it as i'm always ready to listen and offer hugs if that could in anyway make you feel better (:

hah! i'm back, been blogging for 3 days straight. suchan accomplishment; yeah right -.-"

how times flies; gotta month to go. and i ain't gonna start blabbering about how time is precious and all; but to just live in the moment. this is not just some new revelation i just discovered, but it's something many of us take for granted at times, you don't have to wait till your days are numbered but to just live in it.

the next time you hold hands, kiss, or make love, focus your attention on the physical sensations you're feeling. if you find yourself getting distracted, gently return your attention to the physical world. and i don't even mean it in a sick orgasmic way. just feel it.

the next time you do something enjoyable whether it’s sharing a meal, heading out for a date, or taking a walk; banish distracting worries ahead of time. beforehand, sit quietly for five minutes, close your eyes, and think about the things that worry or preoccupy you and that could divert your attention during your outing. then imagine loading your cares onto a drifting ice flow in the arctic for the next hour or so. promise you'll come back to reclaim them later; i mean they're still inevitable. not only does it help to relax but also focus too.

okay that was bloody random. anyways, did you catch the amazing race finale? though tammy and victor won, the other 2 teams were winners too in their own right. i'm moved by margie and luke especially. thanks to him, i've newly found respect for the hearing impaired. not that all the while i don't, c'mon i myself am living with a brother who's hearing impaired, thus i totally understand the challenges that he faces and his mum is really one-helluva-bionic-woman. they're just inspiring.

replete with motorbike stunts, street races and gang fights, Bohsia: Jangan Pilih Jalan Hitam portrays the lives of mat rempits (illegal bikers) and bohsia (promiscuous girls) — youths who turn to bad activities after their families abandon them such as illegal motor racing and thus fall victim to human greed because of the lack of religious education and love at home. movie directed by syamsul yusof is arguably a braver and bolder work compared to his debut film last year (KL Drift). almost all the action scenes in this movie are effective, however there is such a thing as overdoing it, in terms of its mat rempit slangs and lingos. it’s clear that the film highlights society’s negative elements like illegal racing, substance abuse and incest to have us reflect on these social maladies. on one note; its cliffhanger ending leaves a simple message which many of us tend to take for granted.

labour day weekends couldn't be any better (: p/s; i've been 'play'ed

has it ever occured to you as to whether being emotionally attached is any better, equal to, or worse than being physically attached. well, i'm sure like many of you, i personally feel that being emotionally attached is kinda worse because physically could just mean lust and can go away as quick as it came; you can have sex with someone and not feel anything for them. whereas emotionally could be dealing with feelings and can leave scares that affects the rest of a person's life. when you are emotionally attached to someone, it means you have given them a piece of your heart that belonged to someone else, well sorta if you're already in a relationship. still to me, being involved emotionally with someone just seems so much more intimate. however for some reason, a physical one would be more devastating, since in order to want to touch someone physically, there has to be an emotion there first, that makes you desire them.

well, there's always two sides to a coin and in this case they are both damaging in their way.

by no means perfect, but a solid effort at condensing a complicated origin story into a satisfying fast-paced action flick, offering enough surprises and nods to the fans of the franchise that it does add to the character’s mythos. it's a shame some of the characters didn't get their due. it's obvious they all worked hard, and had fun with their roles. deadpool is truly "the merc with a mouth" as his clipped quips fly almost faster than his sword-swipes; wolverine's half-brother sabretooth undertones of emotion and inner conflict; silverfox is strong, sweet and sensuous; gambit's maturity and confident sexiness; while the charming yet dangerous stryker commands every scene he's in. however the movie redeems itself in the end, but you have to sit through an awful lot of self-loathing, meaningless explosions, ignored plot holes, and mind-numbing angst to be rewarded or even better, if you can sit and stay past the end-credits.

in my opinion, the movie needed to be faster-paced and to take itself much less seriously. learn it from joker in the dark knight; why so serious?

alrights; just a quickie (:

now graduated with a diploma at hand, i wonder what the future holds for me. all i care about now is getting my national service over and done with, though i'm still waiting for the all important enlistment letter. only after serving the nation do i embrace the life ahead of me. i've plans of furthering my studies with a degree at least, either local or abroad. either that or i fly; but it seems all too farfetched for now. so needless to say, i'm kinda aimless right now. how i miss my rp days, kinda sorta, the morning meetups, taking our own sweet time delaying to class, lunchbreaks together, after class random lepak sessions, last minute change of plans to skip classes, yes i do, if you think i'm that goodiegoodiegood boy, i'm sorry to disappoint. i miss my many people in rp, wonder when my ules can have their full strength get together session.

as with recent incidences; you don’t need to be suffering from depression to find life grey and dismal at times; we’re all prone to feeling stressed, tired, down and aimless. we can’t always see a solution to feeling like that, so we go on coping with life without feeling much pleasure in things or appreciating what we have. slight tendency to though. how many times have we heard of people learning to appreciate life and ‘living like there’s no tomorrow’ after a life threatening event? and we all feel good for those people to have found a new chance. but why do we have to wait until our lives, or the lives of those dear to us, are threatened before we take notice of the joy around us? that’s not to say we should ignore the sad aspects of life or pretend we don’t have any pressures or stresses on us, because they are important too. but surely we can find time every day just to value what we have and appreciate the fact that we are alive. and i'm blessed and i thank god for giving me another day not just to live life but to be able to spend it with you as well.

graduation: letting go starting anew. there are many things we have to do. preparing for a life long journey ahead, remembering the wonderful lives we led. walking so proudly down the aisle; making sure you have a smile. having flashbacks of the past, wishing those moments could only last. trying not to shed a tear; knowing that the end is here. but for all of us it's not the end; just our futures we have to tend.

and with that i congratulate all republic polytechnic class of 2009 graduates; which of course includes myself. ceremony was held on tuesday morning, had mum and bro plus my father there to see me through the ceremony. and i didn't know being up on stage receiving my diploma from my faculty's director could be that nerve wrecking. anddddd, i look kinda dashing with the robe, don't you think (:

following that comes the rp graduation night, held at suntec in the evening the day after the ceremony. theme was elegance; heck, i came and partied like a rockstar. though initially i didn't plan on going but hey since i had not prom in secondary school, so why not right. overall, i would say its neither good nor bad, but with uber great and awesome company, who cares about the rest. yet again, me and icka; couple wear, hahaha, and the smoke machine; stopp it sakk!!

and to end off my graduation; my course farewell tea reception held the next day after prom. it's my last time meeting my facilitators whom have been there with me every step of the way and should i say some of my coursemates too. to chronos; who's there for jive fiesta and fop, to yuinling for an awesome 1st fyp (which i happen to get an 'A'), to stephanie for almost letting me drown in macroeconomics, but nonetheless, a sporting programme chair, to janie; my aww so caring mum in school, to haris; for the awesome cambodia experience and to the many facilitators that has taught me before, many thanks and please do keep in touch. as for my coursemates, goodluck and all the best for your future endeavours and stay in touch alrights, from jivers, fyp-mates, the different classmates, ules. no money or gold can buy the experience i had in rp.

another chapter of my life close. and congratulations again to my coursemates for being the pioneer batch of graduates from rp's school of hospitality; diploma in integrated events management.

currently my mind is confused and prone to wondering. is this what i want, is this the right course of action to take. i do realise that i'll bear the responsibility and face the consequences thereafter. but i think i've caused to much pain already; be it to others or self-inflicted. did you ever lose yourself to get what you want, did you ever get on a ride and wanna get off, did you ever push away the ones you should've held close, did you ever let go or did you ever not know.

anyways, on thursday the 2nd, had a walk with ju and lydia. it was no ordinary walk, it was a walk to be remembered, a walk through the lush greenery of what's left of singapore's mother nature has to offer; starting from the henderson waves all the way to alexandra arch to hort park all the way to reflections at bukit chandu and ended up at westcoastpark. it's something not to be missed. and you yes you should go there. lets go for a walk okay.

and just last night, though postponed, i had my march birthday babies gathering with my sec sch cliques. we had dinner at lau pa sat; read: 100 satay sticks and other main dishes and ended up at uob plaza for an intimate ice-cream 'cake' affair. thanks you guys (: so lets welcome myself, shuk and hafiz to the club yaww!

my birthday was like no other and i couldn't ask for anythg more. infact it started a day earlier on the 17th with a date with Disney Princesses on Disney on Ice: Princess Wishes. i dated all 7 princesses okay; they were from Aladdin, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Cinderella and Mulan. went with mum, bro and family.

and thought i'd be home to welcome birthday wishes but nooo; i had one surprise i'll remember for life, receive a call near 1am to go down to my void deck and i was surprised then and there with a carboot style surprise, with card, cake and booze and presents too. many thanks to aisha tryaisha, mike iglesias, naz, mak, fifa, azri and audi for being part of it and if you think thats a crowd, wait till fairuz was there to value add to the surprise (: am very much loved and appreciated. that was the morning of my birthday, slept only for a few hours cuz my birthday awaits for more.

caught 'Coming Soon' with fairuz, its a movie i would pay just to get scared. i would say, as compared to Shutter, this won't leave you freaked out as you walk out the theatre. it does however, provide scares that are totally unpredictable. i got shocked like 3-4 times. interestingly, the story has a twist. it reveals the mystery behind the haunting. it has an interesting storyline, with relation to 'real true story' and the way it was film is very nicely done. all in all; nice scares, nice storyline & twist, first of its kind and the lady is very scary looking who needs serious yun nam hair treatment. dinner and the Sallys at Esplanade's Mosiac Music festival.

MY BLOODY VALENTINE IN 3D
prepare to squirm at all the dismembered heads, gushes of blood and boobs that would fly off the screen and into your lap. the killer was a miner who went insane after being trapped in a collapse. he was presumed dead or so i thought. the movie starts strong with the prologue, introduced by a dizzying newspaper montage and the killer's initial murder spree, first in the hospital, then back at the mines where the local teenagers have come to party. they barely escape murder, but other friends are less lucky, including one girl whose head is bisected by a shovel, and a guy who is struck in the head with a pickaxe so precisely that his eyeball pops out of his skull and out of the screen quite literally. and i always wonder why don't this insane psychotic killers ever die despite numerous hits, damn!

was with my alterego; aishazy at vivo watching this damn gory show which could be the reason why my appetite was spoilt. but nonetheless carl's jr was awesome; love the beef chilli cheese fries((:

i had a Nintendo Wii of a session today at ajan's place.
finally met part of my ULEs; aishazy, mike asriokii and ajan after like more than a month uh. today's ULE Wii session feat. khair as well. didn't know playing this game is not only uber fun but a great workout all in one. value for money ay (: from sports like bowling, tennis and golf, to plain silly-lame-humiliate-yourself games; brokebutt mountain, prison fake and misfit, etc. i seriously had fun with you guys, thankseh!

it can be hard making friends, and even harder to trust them. it's very hard to find someone who really loves you and cares about you. ideally a friend is a person who offers love and respect and will never leave or betray you. don't lose a good friend. it's very hard to find a friend who will stay and they can be easy to lose.

one thing that i've learnt;
follow your instincts and past experiences when it comes to trusting people. there are, obviously, some people you can never trust and some people you can and if necessary, withhold some parts of yourself so you are not completely open to people. this is a tip of prevention, so you won't have to go through the trauma of betrayal.

quick update: school is officially over; left with graduation ceremony and prom. recent sentosa flowers 2009 is done, memories good and not so good and bitching and comparing previous years, etc etc etc. now, focus on job hunting; thou not in the mood yet. one thing is for sure, i miss them, refering to those that will always brightened and add life and colours to my poly life, you know who you are. been spending the days at home, occasionally out, but seldom. pictures mainly in facebook for your viewing pleasure.

valentines coming, and i'll be spending it with my awesome secondary school cliques, who says its a day only meant for lovers.

you just don't know do you, you just don't get how much i miss you. instead of making me feel better, i somehow miss you more thanks to you. read my lips, i'm into you, i can't resist you. you acting strange is taking its toll on me and everytime it cuts me deeper. and i'm not ready to let you leave. i feel so empty and hollow. but just to let you know, everyday when i received your first msg, i'm thankful that i'm given another day with you, but at the back of my mind, i know that if i fail, there's someone better to replace me. imy :(

are you haunted by something that happened in your past? whether someone wronged you or you made a decision you regret, i say that forgiveness is what you do for yourself, not for other people.. when you forgive, it doesn't mean that you approve of what's happened; rather, it means that you're giving yourself permission to move on with your life. forgiveness is a choice! don't wait for it to just wash over you all of a sudden.:you have to choose it. the pain of what happened is inevitable, but continuing to suffer is optional. the only person you can control is you, by constantly reliving the pain of what happened, you are giving your power away to the person who wronged you.

don't cling to negative feelings. anger is nothing more than an outward sign of hurt, fear, guilt, grief or frustration. while the pain may never completely disappear, forgiveness can help you release the anger and bring those in your life closer to you. there is no right timeline for recovery. you may have to make a conscious effort every day to forgive; to say, "i'm letting this go. i'm not going to invest hatred, bitterness, anger, resentment in this person anymore." you can find closure in forgiveness.

finding a lesson in what happened can help put the experience in perspective and your emotions in check. people can thrive and suffer at the same time. but i truly believe in forgive and remember.

as mention in my previous entry; FYP II is finally over. apparently this semester's post fyp outing is totally different as compared to last semester, but nonetheless, with uber great company like my dearest ULEs, it doesn't matter when, where or what we do, it is always moments to treasure and cherish while we still can.

it is down to the last week of officially schooling and it will be the long break, infact no more early mornings, no more 1st, 2nd and 3rd meetings, no more breakouts and presentations, no more UTs and worse, no more of seeing my friends on a daily basis. not to make it sound bad but it's serious, it is that serious. well, lets' save the emotions for time to come.

With that done, now its down to getting mandatory school hours done. And whats' next, my inaugural prom and graduation ceremony. Leaving school life; I don't know if I'm ready for that. Leaving the education system for awhile, leaving my routine-like life and dearest friends, ok not leave them like leave them forever, I mean I won't be seeing them on an everyday basis anymore, I have to admit may not be an easy feat for me. with graduation coming, i'm not really sure if i'm ready to face what this year holds for me, no doubt NS is calling, its obvious that i'm not ready to answer the call. but i'm gonna get through this, i'm gonna face 2009 hoping that it will bring more surprises; more good than bad ones of course, a positive change in my life in hope for the betterment of my future.

2008 is coming to a close.
a new dawn is breaking, a new chapter begins, another story unfolds in 2009.

what a year it has been, no single word can describe this rollercoaster year it has been for me. a year of major 1st times and self identity crisis. memories hold dear to me, both the goood and the bad; friendships lost, new ones were forged and close ones are brought closer. it's pointless to look back in anger, let us try to embrace and usher in the new year; whether we want it or not, it's comingg. resolutions you may asked; who needs 'em when we end up not fulfilling it.

and holidays are coming to a close, but ohwell, with only 9 more days of official schooling spread over 3 days per week, i'll be graduating yaww~

different people have their own opinions. that is their perogative. but at the same time, i believe that opinions should be presented in a constructive manner instead of attacking the person and being hurtful. but the reality is, that a number of people find joy in attacking others while there are some who don't seem to fathom how sharp their words could be. most of these will be entertaining fodder for some.

i am glad that i have not reached this threshhold as of yet. not to say that i have not had any attacks on me before, the first few times when i received these type of comments, i fought hard to control my emotions but, i’ve pretty much mellowed up and take these type of comments with a grain of salt. besides, its much easier on the heart to concentrate on the positive (:

for those who don’t know, based on the book; the story of Twilight revolves around a teenage girl named Bella Swan who moves to a new town and falls in love with a boy named Edward Cullen. the twist? Edward is a vampire. the movie is pretty faithful to the book, which means that nothing happens for most of the movie. mainly, Bella meets Edward and they stare at each other. only a minor subplot about an evil vampire who thirsts for Bella’s blood interrupts the gooey eyed staring sessions which is nothing more than an excuse to put Bella in danger so Edward can save her and then stare into her eyes yet again. in a nutshell, i wished it was more action between the vampires similar to that of The Twins Effect (a chinese vampire show). ohwells..

usually i don't really believe in all this horoscope shit, but i do read 'em and today's one kinda made my mind wander. to a certain extent, it is kinda true, i'm still loooking for answers. yes, i've received my end of the karma. action have consequences and i've learnt that karma is the motive behind one's actions that affects the outcome of that particular act. what goes around comes around. more importantly, i have learn from my mistakes, and i want to move on from there. true enough, second chances are not given out freely especially looking at how such a pain in the ass i have been for many people in my life and i'm trying to make up for my mistakes in hopes that everything can be back to normal.

i don't deny that i tend to conduct this 'dissapearing act'. i do have my reasons, and they are of course within your best interest at heart and mind. usually it's self explainatory and pretty obvious but if you still don't get it and you really wanna know, the least is ask and i don't mind explaining myself.

it's time for major cambo updates;

morning flight from singapore to siem reap onboard jetstar; all day everyday low fares.

the evening sunset at the floating village admist the vast wide horizon.

the night we left siem reap, saddeninng. and the agonizing 13hr bus ride to sihannouk ville; omgzzzzz!!!!but guess it was worth it, since we got to go to the beach for another sunset moment.

for only one night we were at sihannouk ville, we had to leave to phnom penh, after checking into our finally well-deserved accomodation, first stop was the toul sleng musuem, and they actually use the actually building of the interrogation, torture and detention. definitely a place not for the faint hearted.

evening boat ride at the mekong river, fyi; this is where the singapore dragon boaters lost their lives. afterwhich dinner at syndicate (reads: city cat) and there we have one of our hilarious ground handlers: syukri receiving our token of appreciation.

singapore embassy; do you know how happy we were upon seeing it. its like a slice of home after near 11days at cambo.

last day at phnom penh international airport, kinda sad to leave cambo, but seems like home is calling and we have already answered cambodia's call.

this week saw me all over the place like literallyy; warning: picture heavyy!!

first up: nationaldayy weekend with farhanaa, despite the weather and knowing the fact that it's gonnna be dang crowded at town, we still headed towards marina sq, dinner at breeks la sehs, and walked ard, shopped abit before making our way down to plaza singg to shop smmore and it was home sweet home after that. long bus rides and plugg in mp3 are 'teh sex'~ okay: pictures talk..

alrightts, so view from breeks was great that we get to see peeks of the parade and yes, i know you're gonna hate me for this but what can i say, i love NY (: on sunday was sleep over at my grams place, and sch the next.

tues was out to simlim, aisha drove during breakout and we did had funn despite the fact being perpectually late for 3rd meeting, presented at 3pm instead of 2. afterwhich was out with my brothers, abg wan, abg fai and sherwinn of course. dinner at lucky plaza at some ayam penyet outlet and movie: journey to the center of the earth. uber cooolios! brendan fraser plays a scientist and school professor who studies the earths core, magma and seismic changes and yearns for a life outside of the lab. he has a knack for these adventure movies as he has in the mummy movies, and the kid who plays his nephew sean link up for family time to uncover some of the mysteries of the notes sean's father left in his journey to find a lost land. they decipher the notes and their adventure takes them to iceland where they meet the other member of this trilogy a mountain climber who has the energy and smile to melt any glacier and keep up with the boys. the special effects and graphics were probably more effective in 3D so i'll let that go but the story has fun and the relationship between the character evolves with every adventure they encounter. though i wished it was like a rollercoaster ride(:

and then came wednesday, highlight for the week i guess, it was karaoke session at NUSS suntec, courtesy of mr. clive fernandez, he's my uber coool leisure planning and programming facilitator. the place was sooo chic and classy cann! but unfortunately no malay songs la sehs, and i've gone almost nuts there dancing and screaming to those songs, thanks for the company, clive, oliva, xiuhui, ally, chick, yiting, melvin, kaiming, yannah, shanana, aishaa and nazz.

following that a night spent dancing and groooving away at Ministry of Sound (: with almost the same people and added a few more along the way too..

so it was a night filled with first times', and yess, it was my first time drinking, clubbing and waiting for the 1st train home..no longer the gooodygoody good mummys' boy uh. it was to be remembered, virgin experience was unforgettable thou thgs had to take a turn for the worse, but still i enjoyed myself. many thanks mainly to dearest aishaa and rainnnn for making my 1st time a stepping stone for more gooodtimes to come..

why does it seem like i'm clinging on to the past when the future beholds brighter opportunities, it's always like my head held high, hands soaring reaching the sky but my legs tied to the ground. this feelings sucks. like being stuck in crossroads is worse, this is even worse; the feelings that i have happen to linger and it seems to have not helped in giving me a sense of direction. but it looks like i like the way that it is now. i really like it, love it, i really do. but it doesnt seem all that easy as to in with the new and out with the old, to be honest, i've never been this confusing all my life; going back to the first sentence of this very paragraph. why must the anger still be so vengeful eventhough things have been long over. i don't want any disappointments nor do i want to get hurt and others around me to get hurt.

The Dark Knight; like finallayyy!!

"The Dark Knight" has no such schizophrenic mood swings. right from the start, the film establishes itself as a sprawling epic; and keeps things consistently at that high level despite numerous dark twists and turns. the joker-portrays the character as a sadistic and dangerously unpredictable wild card - a one man terrorist not driven by greed, power or ideology but his own psychotic gratification; nicely played by the late heath ledger. as for batman/bruce wayne himself-he explores the fascinating issues related to such a character including misguided hero worship, self-doubt and the tenuous line between protecting people and violating their individual freedoms, apart from his typical playboyy billionaire image. the only downside is that the grizzly batman voice, though understandably necessary, remains awkward at times albeit less jarring than previously. the special appearance of two-face-ego-driven showboating, effective political machinations, a genuine desire to change things for the better, and the ultimate abandonment of his own beliefs was too short a portrayal and there was a snippet of scarecrow too in the earlier scenes.

okayys, just a quick update followed by some overdued pictures; on friday, when to catch a glimpse of ignite; rp's very own music fest, accompanied by yannah, razan, idaa, yanti, mirah and hid. the friday session was 'okay' but i think the saturday's session is a bomb thats what i hear.

ok next, something from my fyp post mortem; this is blooody random..

it was an early morning today with a trip down to ICA to renew my passport, with the company of ju and sha, surprising fast..then breakfast at zamzam; prata plaster and murtabak yaww(: walk around bugis for awhile of which i bump into abg nassir, then headed to TTSH for a date with the doctor, and no kidding it took almost half a day and the vaccinations were not helping cann. in almost two weeks, i'm off to cambodia, can't wait la pulak kans. CCC is loved!!

i just wanna take this trip to get away from everything, but don't get me wrong, i'm not running away from reality yahh, just that i wanna have time for myself and spend wonderful, enriching and fulfilling moments at cambodia with my Cambodia's Calling Crew(:

overall it was uber ubin funnn ((: thou it was only for one pathetic nightt. from grocery shopping at loyang pt, to breakfast at changi point, bum-boating, cycling at chek jawa, trekking, bbq-ing, nightwalking, and our survival worse case scenario training.

ubin is done, thanks to newly acquainted caryn, sophia, nurul, janis, shiung hai, joyce, raymond with others sherwin, alice, atikah, alice, moxi, hani and my very own loves; asri, razan, ju, shanana and diyanahh (: only wish aisha was there tooo. special thanks to carol and haris too. looking forward to cambodia now. but first fundraisingg yaww!

finallayy; fyp 1 assessment is over. everything went well. its been wonderfully great working with my team throughout this entire journey all the way back from day 1 till the very end. asri, ida, phyllis and zeraynne, it's been nice working with all of you. next up; cambodia calling crew; though i may not know who's my team and project for the following semester, but i hope that i would have fun tooo yaww(: andd i suck at wearing formal okay.

after that met the rest; razan, yannah, naz, shanana, aishaa and rainn. had lunch at banquet causeway before heading to e2max at cineleisure to chill.

okayy; i shall do this blogg some justice by blogging. its been rushing, crunching, late night workingg, laughing, kissing, bitching, hugging, giggling, smooching, of practically all the '-ing' that happen this past week.

fyp report is done like finallaaayy; all 55pages of it ((: and the past few days, my time has been spent in schoool and with i would say the ever so lovable, loud, vocal, arghhh! i just love 'em; okay okay, namely: aishaa, rain, asri, razan, shanana, yannahh, naz, hope i didn't misss anybody outt. andd to kick start my weekends, on friday, was the National Museum's Night Festival opening; featuring The Dancing Sky by Studio Festi from Italy. weekends were okayy..

i'm gonna be busyy from now onwards, with Cambodia trip coming up; yes people, i'm getting out of here sooon, i just wanna get away from it all.. SL Ubin Adventure Camp this coming weekends, arghh, FYP assessment like this wednesdayy. sadly, i can't rock myself away at Ignite Music Fest. andd finalyy, i have my last round of class test to redeem myself..and i really wanna watch The Dark Knight like this weeeek, anybody wanna treat ashh to the movies. pls((:
